What we collect when you use the Amanah Business Chamber website and member app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
The Amanah Business Chamber website (amanahchamber.com) and the Amanah Chamber member app are operated by Eterna Digitech Solutions Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on behalf of Amanah Business Chamber (“we”, “us”). For anything in this policy, write to support@amanahchamber.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
- Profile and business details: company, designation, sector, business address, chapter, website and social links, and the description of what your business does and needs.
- Photos: your profile photo and any photos you add to your profile.
- Files: resumes and documents you upload, for example when you put a candidate forward on the Careers board.
- Content you post: requirements, responses, introduction and one-on-one requests, advisory requests, community posts and job or talent postings.
- Event information: RSVPs, guest details you enter when inviting a guest, attendance and event payments.
Information collected automatically
- Device token: an identifier used only to deliver push notifications to your phone.
- Activity within the chamber: which features you have seen, your notification preferences and the contribution points you earn.
- Security records: sign-in attempts, used to protect your account.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifier, and the app contains no advertising.
How we use it
- To create and run your membership account and sign you in securely.
- To show your profile to other members in the directory, and to make introductions you or they request.
- To run events, bookings, the requirements board, careers, advisory and community features.
- To send you service emails and notifications about activity that concerns you.
- To keep the platform secure and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
Your directory profile is visible to other signed-in members. Your mobile number and email are shared with another member only in the ways the app makes clear, for example when you accept an introduction or agree to share a candidate’s contact details. Chamber administrators can see member information to run the chamber.
Service providers
We use trusted providers who process data for us, only to run the service:
- Hosting and databases: Railway and Vercel.
- File and photo storage: a secure cloud storage provider.
- Email delivery: our business email provider.
- Push notifications: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Payments: Razorpay. Card and bank details are entered with Razorpay and never reach our servers.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Security
All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, and sign-in tokens are kept in your phone’s secure storage.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your membership is active. When your account is deleted, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment and tax records.
Your choices and rights
- View and correct your profile at any time in the app.
- Turn notification types on or off in the app’s settings.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it.
- Delete your account and data — see how to delete your account.
To exercise any of these, or to raise a grievance, email support@amanahchamber.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Membership is for adults running or working in a business. The app is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell members in the app or by email.
